3012517 - Error: You do not have the necessary permission - when making a change that updates Compensation Information

When making a change which updated Compensation information for example:

• Edit Compensation Information
• Edit Compensation Information and Job Information
• Edit Job Information ONLY with a rule which edits or creates Compensation Information

On save of the record an error is received:

"You do not have necessary permission"

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Make a change to one of the following elements:
   • Edit Compensation Information
   • Edit Compensation Information and Job Information
   • Edit Job Information ONLY with a rule which edits or creates Compensation Information
2. On save an Error is received:
   "You do not have necessary permission"
3. On navigating to Manage Business Configuration, no fields are enabled for compInfo (Compensation Information)

This is caused by a configuration issue. Each required HRIS-Element must have at least one field set to visible.

This error occur because no fields are configured as visible in the compInfo (Compensation Information) HRIS-Element

To resolve this error, the HRIS-Element compInfo (Compensation Information) must have at least 1 field configured as visibility="view" or "edit" (cannot have 0 fields enabled).

This can be achieved by enabling a field in compInfo via Manage Business Configuration UI.
