3012642 - It is not Possible to Find a Position by Name if the Field std_position_obj is Configured as multiselect="true" - Recruiting Management

Symptom

On the Job Requisition, if the field std_position_obj is configured as multiselect="false", it's possible to search by the Position Name and Number but if the field is configured as multiselect="true", the search option is no longer available.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Recruiting > Open any Job Requisition
  2. Find the Position Object field
  3. Try to search by the Position Name or Number
  4. Change the multiselect attribute to "true"
  5. Repeat the same steps
  6. Now the search is no longer available

Cause

This is an expected behavior. The multiselect component does not support search function. 

Resolution

As this is considered as expected behavior, we suggest to submit an enhancement request to Product Management team through the Influence Portal.
