3012978 - Unmount database command in hung state with Msg 2251 - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Mrror message 2251 received by Delphix application when executing the "UNMOUNT DATABASE" command 
  • Msg 2251, Level 17, State 2:Server 'servername', Line 1:Warning: HA Subsystem Internal Error - dbshutdown failed on database <dbname> with dbid x because the database was found to be in use after itwas marked for shutdown
  • a dbcc stacktrace of the unmount spid shows the spid is in upsleepgeneric. Other functions include:
