3013415 - How to Complete Retroactive Reporting of Tax Items

You have open tax items from a previous year, however the year is now closed. No postings are allowed in this closed fiscal year any longer.

How can you now report the open items in the current open fiscal year?

Fiscal year is already closed and results are reported. Therefore it cannot be reopened but still open VAT Items need to be reported to the tax authority.

There are some options to retroactive report open tax items. Please see Help document "Retroactive Reporting of Tax Items".

There is a possibility to perform a correction run for the original reported time period.

1. Open the created VAT-Return.
2. Go to View All.
3. Go to the General Tab.
4. Change the posting date of the VAT -Return to post it in the current open fiscal year.

A correction can be posted in any period. You can change the posting date of the VAT correction return, allowing you to report it in the current fiscal year.
