3013718 - How to Prepone or Postpone your System Upgrades in SAP Business ByDesign (ByD) and SAP Cloud for Customer (C4C)?

Symptom

You want to prepone or postpone a system upgrade to the next dates or releases.

Environment

  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud for Customer

Resolution

  • If you as a customer are under Private edition, you will be having option to prepone/postpone the upgrades. As you will having dedicated system, under that system only your tenants will be hosted. If you want to prepone/postpone that can be discussed via Incidents.
  • If your tenants are hosted in the Public systems, where along with your tenants other customer tenants will also be hosted, so prepone/postpone will impact other customer tenants as well, so it is not possible perform the changes to the upgrade timelines. 

Note:

  1. Please internally check are you in Public/Private Edition, if you are not sure, create incident to SAP for the same.
  2. If you are in private edition, we would be requiring the Future date in the format DD/MM/YYYY and Timezone only in UTC along with that, please specify the tenant URL for which upgrade timeline to be changed.
  3. If you want to change the upgrade timeline, incident to be created at least week before (not in same week/ a day/2 day before), so that we can align with our internal teams and accommodate the changes accordingly.
