You want to prepone or postpone a system upgrade to the next dates or releases.
Environment
- SAP Business ByDesign
- SAP Cloud for Customer
Resolution
For Private systems:
- If your organization uses private tenants, you will be having option to prepone/postpone the upgrades. As you will having dedicated system, under that system only your tenants will be hosted. If you want to prepone/postpone that can be discussed via Incidents.
For Public/Multi-Customer (shared) systems:
- If your tenants are hosted in the Public systems, where along with your tenants other customer tenants will also be hosted, so prepone/postpone will impact other customer tenants as well, so requests to postpone or prepone an upgrade are supported with strict limitations and are evaluated based on the business use case. All such requests are subject to SAP evaluation and approval. If approved, the upgrade schedule can be adjusted only within a limited window, and changes to a different day or release cycle are not supported. SAP reserves the right to reject any request if the business justification does not meet the required criteria.
Please Note:
- The maximum allowed adjustment is up to 4 hours only.
- Approval is not guaranteed and depends on SAP evaluation.
Note:
- Please verify whether the system is Public/Private Edition, if you are not sure, create incident to SAP for the same.
- If you are in private edition, we would be requiring the Future date in the format DD/MM/YYYY and Time zone only in UTC along with that, please specify the tenant URL for which upgrade timeline to be changed.
- If you want to change the upgrade timeline, incident to be created at least week before (not in same week/ a day/2 day before), so that we can align with our internal teams and accommodate the changes accordingly.
- If you are in public edition, upgrade schedule changes are limited and subject to SAP. The maximum possible adjustment is up to 4 hours, and approval is not guaranteed.
