3014691 - Crystal Reports for Visual Studio: Graphic Fits in Crystal Reports, but is oversized when exported to PDF

•  When an image is placed in a report in Crystal Reports, the image fit the page, and look fine when previewing the report.
•  When the report is exported to PDF from Crystal Reports for Visual Studio application, the image looks oversized in the generated PDF document.

SAP Crystal Reports for Visual Studio

1. In Crystal Reports, create a report based on any data source.
2. Use a .png graphic whose original size is larger than the page size.
3. Resize the image to fit the page on the report.
4. Save the report.
5. In Crystal Reports for Visual Studio application, publish the report and export it to PDF format.
6. The graphic appears normal in the published report, but oversized in the exported version.

• To ensure the image size stays the same:

1. 1. Resize graphic the image in a photo editor such as Paint so it fits within page size, and convert it to a BMP image format.
   2. Open the report in Crystal Reports. 
   3. Go to File -> Page Setup.
   4. Uncheck the "no printer" box and select a printer.  
   5.  Check the "Dissociate formatting page size and printing paper size" box.
   6. Graphic should now appear normally after exporting.
