3015021 - VA05 selection with Customer Reference - S/4HANA

Symptom

  • Using transaction VA05 (List of Sales Orders - Optimized on S/4HANA) to select sales documents based on the 'Customer Reference' (VBKD-BSTKD) selection parameter.
  • In ECC VA05 it was possible to search sales orders based on both header and item customer reference.
  • Requirement is to use the header level 'Customer Reference' and not the item level. This doesn't work on S/4HANA. The system is not selecting documents if the item level 'Customer Reference' differs from the header data.
