3015359 - Verification email send even after disabling One-Time Password for Email Verification during Candidate Account Creation - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When creating an candidate account the verification email is send to a candidate to activate the his account.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management. 

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Manage Recruiting Settings
  2. Enable the switch Disable One-Time Password for Email Verification during Candidate Account Creation
  3. Go to candidate account creation page 
  4. Create an candidate account
  5. It will redirect to candidate email activation page 

Cause

This is not the one time password email this is a email verification email and this will work when there is a email trigger enabled in recruiting email trigger (Career Site E-Mail Notification).

Resolution

To disable the email complete the following steps. 

  1. Go to Admin Center
  2. Select Recruiting Email Triggers 
  3. Search for Career Site Email Notification
  4. Disable this notification. 

Once the email has been disabled then the candidate should be able to create an account without needing to verify the account.
