3015693 - Custom fields are empty in the billing document when using Project Billing functionality

When using Project Billing, if you are using a custom field in the billing item from the billing tab of plan customer projects, after you create the billing document, if you display the billing document in Display Billing Document app the custom fields are empty.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

1. In Plan customer projects fill the custom field.
2. Enter billing due date.
3. In Manage billing document prepare the billing and submit it.
4. In Manage project billing create the billing document.
5. Display the billing document, select the item and check the Custom Fields tab.

You are using the wrong business context for the field.

Please use the Project Billing Element Business context to create custom fields when using 4E9 Scope item.
