3016079 - Performance issue with backupserver after upgrading from 15.7 to 16.0 - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Dumping a database in 15.7 took half the time it is taking in 16.0
  • The run_SYB_BACKUP file is the same on both servers
  • The dump command used is also the same on both systems, for example:

    dump database mydb to '/home/mydb16a_dmp'
    stripe on '/home/mydb16a_dump_1'
    stripe on '/home/mydb16a_dump_2'
    stripe on '/home/mydb16a_dump_3'
    with compression=101

  • All dumps are taking longer, the above is just an example.
