3016156 - DBCC checkstorage is very slow after an upgrade from ASE 15.7 to ASE 16.0

Symptom

Running dbcc checkstorage (database_name) is taking longer on 16.0 than on earlier versions. 
Checkstorage returns no faults in both versions.

  • SAP Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) 16.0
  • There is no difference in the configuration of the dbccdb
  • The databases being checked are simply upgraded from 15.7
