Symptom

  • When attempting to import SAP object in Data Services Designer, the following error message is displayed:

    • Syntax error at line <15>: <XML BLOB NULL SET("Description" = '<short_description>'))>: near <BLOB>
      found <identifier> expecting <DATE, DATETIME, __AL_TIMESTAMP, DECIMAL(p,s), DOUBLE, CHAR, FUNC_ANY_TYPE, FUNC_CHAR_TYPE,
      FUNC_COL_TYPE, FUNC_DS_TYPE, FUNC_NUM_TYPE, INTEGER, INTERVAL, LONG, NFIXCHAR, Numeric, NVARCHAR, REAL, TABLE, TRY, VOID>.
