3017502 - Exported File displaing "????" for other languages' values

When exporting User Data File (UDF), Background Information, or other files from the system, some values that are in languages like Chinese, Japanese, Thai, etc., are being displayed as "????".

SAP SuccessFactors HCM

1. Go to Employee Export
2. Click on "Export User File" button
3. Open the extracted file
4. See that there are some values displaying as "????"

This is caused by the character encoding used when extracting the file.

In order to fix that, please set the Character Encoding to "Unicode (UTF-8)" before exporting the file.

That will make the values to be displayed properly.
