Symptom

  • The following error occurs in the RFC server logs (BiClientLogs):

    Could not start server: Connect to SAP gateway failed
    Connection parameters: PROGID="<Program ID>" GWHOST=<Gateway hostname> GWSERV=<Gateway service name>
    ERROR service 'sapgw00' unknown

  • KBA 2719980 has been applied already, "sapgw00   3300/tcp" has been added to the services file.
