Symptom

  • High spinlock contention in sysobjects named cache when execute large number of dynamic light weigth procedure (LWP).
  • The sybmon sample output show many threads in a code path that contain the following functions:

    pausenonatomic
    lock_do_logical
    sdes_scan_setup
    lookup__sysobjects
    getobjrow
    getobjrow_byname
    lookup_object_with_protect
    s_normalize
    sequencer
    tdsrecv__dynexec
    tdsrecv_dynamic
