3018274 - BW queries fail with Error SQL325 - SAP BW on ASE

• On SAP BW systems running SAP ASE 160 SP03, BW queries (either va RSRT, BEX, BPC reports) fail with SQL Error 325 :
  
  [ASE Error SQL325][SAP][ASE ODBC Driver][Adaptive Server Enterprise]Adaptive Server finds no legal query plan for this statement.

• From SM21 and related dev trace file, you can see the query being executed when the error is returned, and the offending tables from that query.
• RSSYBDBVERSION report (SA38) indicates all GREEN lights (ie. BW Correction Collection note is applied and the ASE configuration is as set required per Best Practice Guide - SAP Note 1680803)
• RSSYBPARTMON report (SA38) output shows that the offending Infocube involved in the query has more than 1000 partitions and/or several EMPTY partitions in the F fact table
• The InfoObject Characteristic /Master Data tables referenced in the offending query are much larger (more rows) than the Dimension tables referenced in the same query
