Symptom

  • You have an ABAP proxy interface which uses SAP Process Integration (PI) or Process Orchestration (PO) as middleware
  • End to end flow similar to Oracle DB -> JDBC Sender Adapter -> PI/PO -> SOAP (XI 3.0 mode) Receiver -> R/3 (S/4 HANA)
  • You observe long processing times of the message in transaction SXMB_MONI,
  • backlogs in transaction SMQ2 can also be another symptom of this situation
