Symptom

The contact import considers shareable and non-sharable IDs - in general shareable IDs cannot be used for identifying existing contacts, as the same ID might be shared among several contacts. A certain scenario however provides to option to match contacts via a shareable ID with considering the contact's name, the so-called soft match. This KBA explains the soft match design.
