3020921 - Unable to purge Custom MDF Objects

• When attempting to purge custom MDF objects, the purge does not complete.
• In Purge Request Monitor, under Approved Requests there is an empty preview report.

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
• Metadata framework (MDF)

• Go to -> Data Retention management
• Create new Purge Request -> A purge request type: "DRTM Employment Information Purge"
• Select one user: aaaaat (Anton Aigner)
• Select Purge objects: MDF Custom Objects
• Add approver and launch immediately
• Go to -> Purge Request Monitor -> Under Approved Requests  and see Completed with an empty report.

• Missing DRTM Employment Info Purge Objects

In order to have MDF custom object purge to work, you need to configure DRTM Employment Information Purge for any object such as:

• DRTM Employment Info Purge Objects: DRTM_COMPENSATION (DRTM_COMPENSATION)

DRTM Employment Info Purge Objects: DRTM_JOB_RELATIONSHIPS (DRTM_JOB_RELATIONSHIPS)

The retention times configured would purge these Emp Info objects.

In case you wish not to purge them, you may specify a large retention time such that no records are selected for purge.

From Data Included in the DRTM Employment Information Purge | SAP Help Portal, we can see all purge objects of DRTM Employment Information Purge group.

And we need configure the retention time of each purge object which we wants to purge. The steps are as followed:

1. Admin Center - Manage Data - Choose DRTM Employment Info Purge Objects in the first dropdown - Choose the purge object in the second dropdown - Take Action - Make Correction - configure Retention Time Configuration
2. Repeat the above steps to configure the retention time of all the purge objects you want to purge
3. Send a purge request, the purge request should appear in the list of Requests Pending Final Approval now.
