3020992 - After changing SMTP server to a new one which has SSL enabled, some of the existed recurring schedule jobs will fail to run

Symptom

  • After changing SMTP server from an old one which has non SSL enabled to a new one which has SSL enabled, some of the existed recurring schedule jobs will fail to run.
  • The error message in Failed instance can be seen as:
    server error. [Error initializing SMTP server. Return code: [Error sending TCP.]. Cause: [<smtp server>].]: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]
  • If checking the recurring instance object by Query builder, in SI_ScheduleInfo -> SI_Destinations -> SI_DEST_SCHEDULEOPTIONS -> SI_Enable_SSL=False is seen for the failed one. While for working recurring instance, it didn't have such SI_Enable_SSL properties.
