Symptom

  • Benefit Employee claim import job 'Failed'
  • How to import Benefit employee claim record when entitlement amount is unlimited 
  • Benefit Employee claim import job failed with error: null object returned from com.successfactors.benefitsmanagement.bean.claim.BenefitClaimAccumulation.getRemainingAmount()

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Global Benefits

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a Benefit of type 'Reimbursement' with Entitlement amount = -1 (unlimited)
  2. Employee enroll in Benefit
  3. This creates 'Benefit Employee Claim' and 'Benefit Claim Accumulation' records in Manage Data
  4. Through Import and Export data > Import 'Benefit Employee Claim' object to update the record
  5. Import job 'Failed'

Cause

Remaining amount in Benefit Claim Accumulation record is null

Resolution

  1. Go to Benefit Claim Accumulation object
  2. Take action > Make correction
  3. Update 'Remaining Amount' to '0' (when entitlement amount is unlimited)
  4. Save changes
  5. Perform Benefit Employee claim import
