3022053 - SQL error SQL1763N reported when reclaiming space with REDUCE MAX

The following SQL1763N error is reported when attempting to reclaim space with REDUCE MAX.
ALTER TABLESPACE <tablespace> REDUCE MAX fails with either of the following reason codes.

SQL1763N  Invalid ALTER TABLESPACE statement for table space "TABSPACE_NAME" due to reason "10" 
Reason code 10 means:
The REDUCE MAX clause or the REDUCE with a specified size clause can only be used with table spaces having the Reclaimable Storage attribute and managed by automatic storage.

SQL1763N  Invalid ALTER TABLESPACE statement for table space "TABSPACE_NAME" due to reason "11"  
Reason  code 11 means:
Table spaces without the Reclaimable Storage attribute cannot use clauses to reduce or lower the high water mark.

Db2 v9.7 or higher
