3022643 - Copy data action - unbooked source data overwriting target data with 0

Symptom

  • Running Copy Data Action from the source model to the target model.
  • Unbooked data is being treated as 0 and is written to the target version.
  • Is there a way to ignore the unbooked cells from the source model?

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

Reproducing the Issue

Run Copy Data Action with unbooked data from the source model.

Cause

This behavior is currently a limitation of SAC.

Resolution

As a workaround, use a data source dimension in the target model, and have a dedicated member for the source model.
