3022943 - Customised & Renamed Template from Content Store Overwritten When New Import of Template from Content Store is Completed

• Imported Template from Content Store, Renamed & Customized the Template, Imported new Template & the original is overwritten with the new imported template. 
• Customized Template is overwritten 
• Unable to retrieve customized template

A new overwrite option is provided to overwrite existing templates in 2H2025. You must opt into overwriting each time you import from the content store. By default, the process doesn't overwrite.

Story reports

1. Login to SuccessFactors
2. Navigate to Reporting 
3. Import report from Content Store
4. Rename template from Content Store 
5. Edit the renamed report & customize the report. 
6. Save the Report 
7. Import same original report from Content Store
8. Original report is overwritten with original report template from Content Store

The story IDs stored on SAC side do not change when we rename and customize a report story. This is currently a limitation on the SAC side. We cannot retrieve the original customized report.

We have a workaround to help you avoid this happening in the future.

Note: Please only try these a test first before doing deep dive customization:

1. Please make a note of the changes they you might have already performed as re-import will overwrite the changes
2. Delete the existing imported story
3. Delete the duplicated versions of this imported stories as well.
4. Reimport the story with .package file or Content store
5. Before Duplicating the story please ensure to “Open the original standard report, edit the data source and then resave the story.”
