3023248 - How to use schedule job to change periods in app Manage Posting Periods

Symptom

You have scheduled a job for setting posting periods in app Manage Posting Periods, it is only seen that the Scheduled Open Periods changed, no change for Open Period

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open app Manage Posting Periods
  2. Select Schedule to Run Once under Set Posting Periods
  3. Fill the period to be opened and the Execution Time

Cause

The Scheduled Open Periods is used to display planned period change, the Next Execution Time shows when the change will happen, and when the Next Execution Time is fulfilled, the Open Periods will be adjusted accordingly.

Resolution

 Wait till the Next Execution Time, the Open Periods will be adjusted at that time.
