SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Go to Position Org Chat
2. Select the position
3. Create Job Requisition
4. Error occurs: Sorry, the requisition cannot be created. Creation of a job requisition for position XXXX failed. Details: XXXX is not part of the group: GroupName with the index 0

There are multiple causes for this issue.

1. The user is not part of the recruiting group associated with the operator field.

A Recruiting Group has been defined for the operator field in the Job Requisition Template. In the business rule, the user mapped to the operator field is not a member in the Recruiting Group.

2. A wrong recruiting group has been associated with the operator field.

3. Using the same recruiting group name in multiple areas.

For Example, if you have aRecruiting Group called Hiring Manager, the label should be unique. There should be no groups with the same name in the system, i.e (Dynamic group, Onboarding Group or Manage Permission Group).

Troubleshooting Steps:

1. Find out which group name is associated with the operator field in the Job Requisition template (Refer to KBA 2728359).
2. Go to Admin Center > Manage Recruiting Groups. Select the group name and click Edit. Check the membership and confirm if the user has been added in it.

For Cause 1 - User is not part of the recruiting group

1. Go to Admin Center > Manage Recruiting Groups.
2. Select the group name and click Edit.
3. Add the user to the recruiting group.

For Cause 2 - Wrong recruiting group

1. Go to Manage Templates > Recruiting Management > Job Requisition.
2. Open the Job Requisition template.
3. Click on "xx fields defined. Click to modify."
4. Find the operator field.
5. Modify the recruiting group name.

For Cause 3 - The same recruiting group name exists in multiple areas

1. Change the group name in Mange Recruiting Group. Make sure that the group name is unique in the system.
2. Update the group name in the field definition in Job Requisition Template.
3. Perform a OData API metadata refresh and try again the error should not appear.
