3023604 - setup.bin fails with "libnsl.so.1: cannot open share object - ASE 16.0 and SRS 16.0 and IQ16.0

Symptom

  • Installing ASE 16.0 SP04 on Redhat Linux 8.3
  • Installing SRS 16.0 SP03 PL10 on Redhat Linux 8.3
  • Installing SAP IQ 16.0 SP04 on Redhat Linux 8.x
  • Getting the following error when running setup.bin:

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /backup/sybase/ASE_Server/ebf29650/archives/sylapi/libsylapij.so: libnsl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: /backup/Replication_Server/ebf29531/archives/sylapi/libsylapij.so: libnsl.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
