3023749 - Modal Dialog cannot be Navigation Target for OBN Button Navigation

Symptom

Modal Dialog cannot be the navigation target for OBN Button navigation.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer
SAP Business Bydesign
SAP Cloud Applications Studio

Reproducing the Issue

Open Cloud Applications Studio
Open PDI Solution
Open UI Designer
Open the standard ui component
Go to extensibility explorer
Select "Assign Component to View"
Select Navigation Target
Your Modal Dialog is missing

Cause

Modal dialog can't be OBN navigation based. It has to be simple navigation. There should be a simple navigation given where inscreen flow happens. As it is a reusable component that is why it will not be part of assigned objects.

Resolution

This is the system standard behaviour.
