3024128 - Attachment Link Inside Data Source Doesn't Open File

Symptom

You're trying to open a hyperlink on data source Visit attachment [ FSEATTACHB  ] and the hyperlink doesn't open the attachment.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Business Analytics Work Center.
  2. Go to the Design Data Source View.
  3. Search for the "Visit Attachment" data source. Preview it.
  4. Add the field "Attachment" on the View tab.
  5. Run it.
  6. You'll see the link to the attachment. But when you click it, it doesn't open.

Cause

Attachments cannot be opened on a data source level.

Resolution

The attachment can be opened through a report based on this data source.
