3024663 - Error "External code for PartyRoleCode ABC of Map Group 03 could not be determined" raised when replicating Business Partner

C4C Outgoing Message for Business Partner Replication fails with "External code for PartyRoleCode ABC of Map Group 03 could not be determined" error.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Create or change an existing Business Partner.
2. Save it.
3. Go to Web Service Message Monitoring under Administrator Work center.
4. Search for the Service Interface.
5. You will be able to see the error.

Code List Mapping is not maintained for ABC as Local Code under PartyRoleCode Local Data Type Name.

You need to add ABC as Local Code (under PartyRoleCode Local Data Type Name) and map it to the respective External Code as below:

1. Go to Overview under Business Configuration Work center.
2. Search for Code List Mapping.
3. Open the Code List Mapping for Integration with External Applications and Solutions Activity.
4. Click on Maintain Code List Mapping.
5. Under Code List Mapping Definition, filter for "PartyRoleCode" Local Data Type Name and "SAP On Premise Integration" Mapping Group.
6. Select it.
7. Add ABC as Local Code and map it to the respective External Code.
8. Save it.

If the code is not available to add, you may need to reinitialize the list:

A new version of the Code list mapping can be added.

1. Go to Overview under Business Configuration Work center.
2. Search for Code List Mapping.
3. Open the Code List Mapping for Integration with External Applications and Solutions Activity.
4. Click on Maintain Code List Mapping.
5. Add Row
6. Search for the data type PartyRoleCode and add it
7. Set the Local And Remote Codes Are Equal 
8. Save

The old list will then need to be deleted before saving
