Symptom

DELIVERY_DOCUMENT_ITEMS is empty when creating a delivery with BADI LE_SHP_MODIFY_HEAD.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Implement BADI LE_SHP_MODIFY_HEAD at Application Custom Fields and Logic and publish it.
  2. Call the BADI when creating a delivery.
  3. The delivery items are not updated as expected.

Cause

This is standard behaviour.

No delivery items exist when calling BADI LE_SHP_MODIFY_HEAD during delivery creation.

Resolution

The delivery items are available if the delivery header is updated again after creation.
