3025788 - Times are Credited Although not yet Approved

According to your expectation, only released respectively approved times shall be available as credited times.
But also times that are still waiting for approval are visible as credited.

1. Go to Time Administration work center
2. Select Time Sheet view
3. Open the time sheet for the affected employee
4. Time with status In Approval are visible as Credited

This is the intended system behavior.

During Valuation process in Time Administration, a so called 'Soft Approval' process is followed, which calculates and posts time recordings under the assumption that they will be approved. This happens to avoid issues related to double postings.

Example:

A leave is requested and the approval task remains in Approval. Then the employee sends a second request for a different period. A related approval task for the new request is approved. Only now the Approver sees the first request and tries to approve that. If the system were to let this go through and there was an insufficient quota, this would cause discrepancies.

For the correct calculation of the time account the maintained absences are used. If vacation times are canceled, time account and time statement shall be corrected accordingly.
