Symptom
- Field shows incorrect values.
- When adding specific dimensions on a report, one dimension shows incorrect values.
- When refreshing a report based on a Universe (UNX) in Crystal Reports for Enteprise, a field, shows the data of another field.
- When selecting "Edit Data Sources", it open the Query Panel, and the application crashes, with the error:

Caused by: Cannot map different source fields to the same target field. - [JRC00005434]"
Environment
- SAP Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.2
- Data Source: Universe (UNX)
Reproducing the Issue
- In Crystal Reports for Enterprise, create a new report based on a Universe (UNX)
- In the Query Panel, add at least 2 dimensions to the report.
- When viewing the report, notice the data displayed is incorrect.
- When clicking on "Edit Query", Crystal Reports for Enterprise crash with the error:
"Cannot map different source fields to the same target field. - [CRSDK00001016]"
Cause
- Conflict of two potentially corrupted dimensions in the Universe.
Resolution
- In the Universe, make a copy of the Dimension displaying the wrong data on the report, and use the new Dimension on the report.
- In the Information Design Tool (IDT), import the Universe (UNX)
- Copy the Dimension that shows incorrect data.
- Rename the original Dimension to avoid using it in any new report.
- Republish the Universe to the SAP BusinessObjects Repository.
- In Crystal Reports for Enterprise, when creating a new report based on the Universe, add the new Dimension to the report, instead of using the original corrupted Dimension.
