Symptom
Description missing for Product while adding it to Contract.
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customers
Cause
When you add a Contract Item from Template, then the item description of the Contract Template is used.
When you add a Contract Item directly from the Product OVS, then the current Product master data description is used.
Resolution
You can check that the correct product was added:
After saving click at the Product ID link and then you navigate to the Product master data and there you see the expected description.
