Symptom
- When running the saphostctrl to monitor SAP ASE DB status, it states that database is not running even though DB is running.
C:\Program Files\SAP\hostctrl\exe>saphostctrl -function GetDatabaseStatus -dbname <SID> -dbtype syb
Database Status: Stopped
Component name: Client (SYBASE Server Client Software), Status: Running (SAP ASE Server client software is configured properly.)
Component name: Server (SYBASE Server Software), Status: Stopped (SAP ASE Server instance BWQ is not running.)
Component name: Database (SYBASE Server Database), Status: Stopped (SAP ASEDatabase BWQ is not running.)
Component name: Backup Server (SYBASE Backup Server Software), Status: Stopped (Backup Server is not running.)
Component name: Job Scheduler (SYBASE Job Scheduler), Status: Stopped (Job Scheduler is not running.)
Component name: RepAgent thread (SYBASE Replication Agent Thread), Status: Running (Running Rep Agents: / Stopped Rep Agents:) - According to the dev_sapdbctrl log, saphostctrl didn't find SAP ASE process.

Note) If saphostctrl find the SAP ASE process, the following message will be logged.
