3028836 - The Field Interactioncontact UUID of a Contact Changed

You notice that the field InteractioncontactUUID associated with Origin ID of a Contact has changed

• SAP Marketing Cloud Edition
• SAP Marketing OnPremise starting with release 1709

1. You did a Get request to pull contact data via Contact API.

2. Check the attribute "InteractionContactFacetUUID".

You notice that the value of this attribute has been changed.

The only explanation for the UUID change is a contact merge.

You can check the Inspect Contact Event History if the affected contact got merged into another contact.

This is the expected system design.

The UUID is changed based on the Internal origin of the merged Contact.
