3030469 - MM01 - Error: Batch management requirement cannot be changed - Message M3530

Symptom

  • In MM01 transaction, a user creates a new material and receives the error message: Batch management requirement cannot be changed; choose "Display errors" - Message no. M3530.  
  • The error occurs after flagging the 'Batch Management' checkbox in the 'Sales: General/Plant' view.  
  • The batch management requirement cannot be changed because batch management may not be defined for value-only materials.
