3031069 - Thresholds to format negative values in RED are not working properly in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

The following issue occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

  • Negative values are not getting displayed as red value when decimal places are reduced and value becomes -0.0
  • For example when we convert value -0.001 to value having 2 decimal places using styling panel it becomes -0.00 in SAC. Once value become -0.00 it do not get displayed as red

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.2.8
  • Live BW

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log on to SAC tenant.
  2. Create model based on live BW connection which have decimal values of 4 decimal places
  3. Create story based on same model
  4. Create threshold for that measure and set it for red color>=Min <0
  5. Notice that negative values marked as red color
  6. Now apply styling to column and set Decimal places to 2 so value like(-0.0010 becomes -0.00)
  7. Notice that negative values lost their red color which became -0.00 during decimal conversion

Cause

  • This is by-desin in current version of SAC.

Resolution

  • You can submit one enhancement reuqest as per SAP KBA 2424376.
