• Error: The value is too long. Only 127 characters are allowed. when entering a long string which length is bigger than 127 for Property in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
• If the string length is equal or shorter than 127, then no errors.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.2

1. Log on to SAP Analytics Cloud tenant.
2. Create a new Public dimension.
3. In the right side, add a new custom property.
4. In the table, for the new column of this custom property, input a very long string which length is more than 127. Press Enter key to confirm.
5. Data validation error happens as The value is too long. Only 127 characters are allowed.

In the version 2024.8, now when a new Text property is created, it will allow user to specify the length.
And the maximum value of this length is 5000 now.
