3032742 - Why Purchase Request in Project Has Status Not Released

Issue 1: Why Purchase request is still in status 'Not released' though Purchase order is created from it.
Issue 2: Why Net value and List price show zero despite entering value in shopping cart, purchase request and purchase order.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Project Management work center.
2. Go to Projects view.
3. Open the respective project.
4. Go to Products tab.
5. Go to Purchase Request sub tab.
6. Select the respective Purchase request.
7. See that the status shows "Not released" and list price, net value shows zero (0).

The Release Status in the Purchase Request sub tab of the Project is only relevant, if the purchase request was created from the project (technically, an internal Project Purchase Request).

The Purchase request in your case was created from a Shopping Cart with the cost assignment to a project task (technically, an external Project Purchase Request).

So ideally, the Release Status should be "not relevant" in case of an external PPR, but that was never implemented.

For Shopping cart (it is an external PPR (ePPR)) and for Purchase order (it’s an Ordered PPR (oPPR)) no List Price determination, due to technical limitations, price not determined for External PPR

For Issue 1: it was an External PPR, kindly ignore the status for such Purchase requests.

Submit an idea on the SAP Business ByDesign Continuous Influence session.

For the Issue 2: SAP development team has added the issue into their backlog, it will be implemented in a future SAP Business ByDesign release based on the complexity of business flow.
