  • Can Scheduled Archiving Jobs be run immediately in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Environment

 SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. An Archiving job has been scheduled in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
  2. The frequency is fixed and cannot be changed

Cause

In Production mode, scheduled archiving runs are triggered by a technical job which every two days at 23:00 UTC.

In Test mode, scheduled archiving runs are triggered by a technical job which is executed every two hours.

The frequency of the scheduled archiving is designed for better optimization of resources and cannot be manually changed.

Resolution

  1. Trigger the archiving process in a Test run
  2. Check the results in the next two hours in the Monitor Archiving Jobs app to find and correct any issues.
  3. Schedule production run.
