3033608 - System allows the creation of a WBS number diverging from Project ID

Symptom

When creating new WBS you are able to create a WBS that diverges from project ID. For example

Project ID is T.22.1111

You are able to create a WBS ID as T.22.0001

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud.

Reproducing the Issue

Go to project control app.
Select a project.
Click Edit in and select project planning.
Create a new WBS diverging from project ID.

Cause

This is the standard behavior of the system.

Resolution

This is the standard behavior of the system and currently there is no validation for the WBS ID to be equal to the project.

If you would like to have a validation of this kind, you may implement a BADI to adequate to your requirements.
