3033762 - Deferred Charge And Deferred Expense Shows No Data On The Printout Of The Balance Sheet And Income Statement Report

Symptom

You run the Balance Sheet and Income Statement report and notice that the Deferred Charge and Deferred Expense shows no data on the printout.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
  2. Go to the Periodic Tasks view.
  3. Select the Statutory Reports subview.
  4. Run the Balance sheet and Income Statement report.
  5. Select the line with the Run Name XXX (XXX stands for the Run Name).
  6. Select button View Printed Results.
  7. Open the file.

On the downloaded file, under Liquidity, the field: Deferred Charge and Deferred Expense shows no data.

Cause

  • On the download file, the field: Deferred Charge and Deferred Expense shows no data because Deferred Charge and Deferred Expense has "Subtotal Print Option" as 2 - Header without Subtotal.
  • There is a logic in the system to clear off items which have "Subtotal Print Option as 2".

Resolution

This is the designed and normal system behavior.

To see the Subtotal Print Option, follow the below steps:

  1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
  2. Go to the Overview view.
  3. Search and open the activity: Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.
  4. Select Edit Financial Reporting Structures.
  5. Select the concerned Reporting Structure ZZZ (ZZZ stands for the Balance Sheet Structure).
  6. Select Edit.
  7. Expand Assets.

Deferred Charge and Deferred Expense has the field Subtotal Print Option as "2 - Header without Subtotal".
