3035143 - System triggers error "An inbound delivery with reference to inbound delivery notification already exists. Enter a New Inbound Delivery Notification ID" when trying to create 3PL Inbound Delivery from Inbound Delivery Notification

Error appears when you try to create New 3PL Inbound Delivery against the Inbound Delivery Notification KLM (KLM represents the Inbound Delivery Notification ID).

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Third-Party Logistics Work Center.
2. Navigate to the Inbound Delivery Notifications View.
3. Find and select the Inbound Delivery Notification KLM.
4. Click New Inbound Delivery.
5. Maintain External Delivery ID and External Delivery Item ID as required.
6. Click Check Consistency
7. The system displays the error message: An inbound delivery with reference to the inbound delivery notification KLM already exists. Enter a new inbound delivery notification ID.

This is the expected behavior. When you check consistency during creation of the inbound delivery, there is a validation which queries all Confirmed Inbound Deliveries and checks the BTD reference to see if any have the Inbound Delivery Notification "KLM".

Follow the below steps to find the duplicate Inbound Delivery Notification(s):

1. Navigate to Inbound Logistics work center.
2. Go to the Inbound Deliveries view and search for the Inbound Delivery Notification "KLM" (if the system does return any record, open the Advanced Filter and enter the value directly into the Delivery Notification ID field and click Go).
3. You will see that there are Confirmed Inbound Delivery with this reference.

 You have to cancel the Inbound Delivery Notification KLM and create a new Inbound Delivery Notification with a different ID so you can process the order.
