3035206 - Error "Total duration of All Recorded Times Exceeds 24 hrs on DD.MM.YYYY" While Trying to Activate a Time Entry

Symptom

You are trying to activate a Time Entry for an Employee, however, system shows the error message:

"Total duration of All Recorded Times Exceeds 24 hrs on DD.MM.YYYY"

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the work center Time Administration.
  2. Go to the view Employees.
  3. Search for the affected employee.
  4. Enter the Employee Times tab.
  5. Select the affected date.
  6. Click the entry with status Pending Cancellation.
  7. Click Actions and then Activate.

Cause

As the system works with Terminal Integration, the employee has a Clock Out for the Time Event without having a Clock In.

Resolution

In order to correct this scenario, you need to maintain a Clock In for the Employee. Also, you might need to perform a Day Closure Run for the Employee by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the work center Time Administration.
  2. Select Regular Tasks.
  3. Click Run Day Closure for One Employee.
  4. Specify the employee for whom you want to run day closure.
  5. Select Start Time Valuation if you want to recalculate a valuation run for all time data of the employee from a specific date on.
  6. Click Run to specify the valuation start date.
