3035283 - Mapping delays in SAP PO 7.5 post migration

Symptom

  • You have a Process Integration (PI) or Process Orchestration (PO) mapping integration using a custom coded User Defined Function (UDF)
  • The UDF is designed to make a call to the
  • The PI/PO interface is synchronous and fails with the expected error "synchronous timeout exceeded", when the configured timeout is hit
  • Checking the defaultTraces from the time of the error: 
    CommunicationException: can not open context to check credentials - action retrial 0/2
    [EXCEPTION]
    javax.naming.CommunicationException: <ldap_host>:<port> [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out (Connection timed out) (local port 12345 to address 0.0.0.0, remote port <port> to address xx.x.xx.xx)]
  • If you capture Thread Dumps, you can see calls related to the problem mapping to the LDAP server: 
    java.net.AbstractPlainSocketImpl.doConnect com.sun.jndi.ldap.Connection.createSocket
