3035375 - End-of-Life of OData API v1 and Web Services (SOAP, A2X) in SAP Cloud for Customer

This KBA aims to explain a bit more about Web Service APIs in SAP Cloud for Customer.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Navigate to Administrator work center.
2. Navigate to Service Explorer work center view.
3. Search and Open any Webservice.

You can find the complete list of available Web services and their current scoping status. You can also find the detailed documentation and download the system-specific WSDL, including all customer-defined fields there.

SAP Cloud for Customer OData API v1 and Web Services (SOAP, A2X) is deprecated since February, 2020 release. Customers should stop using them to avoid data inconsistency, since their support is no longer available.

With the introduction of SAP Cloud for Customer OData API v2, we are deprecating OData API v1 and Web Services APIs (SOAP, A2X). Please use OData API v2 for any new project. If you have implemented integration based on the deprecated services, please adapt and switch to OData API v2.

Why Use OData API v2:

OData API v2 covers more than 40 main business objects, allowing read and write access to more than 1000 collections (data points). OData API offers improved performance and is more versatile compared to the more traditional SOAP APIs (Web Service, A2X). The new OData API comes with enhanced documentation covering more entities, entity data model diagrams, and sample payloads for Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) operations.
