Symptom
When using PP related application(e.g. Confirm Production Order Operation, Reprocess Goods Movements) to perform confirmation/goods movement, below error occurs:
- "RU303" (Only 0 decimal places are permitted for unit of measure &
However, this does not occur in MM related application (e.g.Post Goods Movement)
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to app "Post Goods Movement" to post a GR for purchase order for a quantity with 3 decimal places, no error occurs.
- Go to app "Reprocess Goods Movements" to post a goods movement for the same Unit of Measure with 3 decimal places, error RU303 occurs.
Cause
The logic of automatic goods movement during confirmation process and manually goods movement are different.
"Post Goods Movement" allows user to enter quantity with decimal places even if the corresponding unit of measure is defined as 0. However, for confirmation process on PP side, it is not allowed.
Resolution
If it is required to enter quantity with 3 decimal places in related applications (e.g., Confirm Production Order Operation, Reprocess Goods Movements), both the fields "Decimal places" and "Decimal Rounding" should be set to 3 in SSCUI 102179.
If the Unit of Measure cannot be changed in the SSCUI, a non-preapproved configuration may be necessary. This request should be coordinated with the PE/CEE/CSM (Product Expert, Customer Engagement Executive, or Customer Success Manager). After approval, the expert configuration team can proceed according to the requirement.
To follow this path, the concern should be raised under the component XX-S4C-SRV-CON.
