3036471 - Error "Start Date Can't Be Changed Because of Manual adjustments on Time Account" During Migration of Time and Labor Management

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Access the Overview view.
3. Search and open activity Migration of Employee and User Data.
4. Click link to Migrate time and labor management data using the migration tool.
5. Select a migration file available in the Source Files table or upload a new one by clicking the Upload button.
6. Click Execute Migration, then Execute Migration Step by Step.
7. Proceed with the migration until the third step (Simulate), where error occurs.

There might be 2 causes for this issue:

Cause 1: You cannot change the Time Profile and do a Manual Adjustment in the same file.

Cause 2: The date in the Time File Start Date field of the migration template is different than the date in the time file of the employee(s) being migrated.

To check this, please follow the below instructions:

1. Go to the Time Administration work center.
2. Access the Employees work center view.
3. Search and select the employee(s) being migrated.
4. Click Edit.
5. Navigate to the Time Profile tab.

In the Time Profile section, you can check the Start Date — if this value is different than what was entered in the migration template, the error message will occur.

Solution for cause 1: As a workaround, you can change the start of the Time Profile to the desired date and then upload the Manual Adjustments via Web Service. This way you will need to create your own Communication Scenario and add this Web Service to it. Then you will be able to do mass change in your Manual Adjustment.

The other option is to do it manually in the UI.

Solution for cause 2: Change the date in the migration template in order to match the date maintained in the time file of the employee(s).
