Symptom

  • Backup fails to load
  • Using Veritas Netbackup
  • Backup Server log reporting messages:

Backup Server: 4.188.1.1: Database DB_NAME: 633288656 kilobytes (35%) LOADED.
Backup Server: 4.141.2.22: [108] The 'api_read' call failed for database/archive device while working on stripe device 'sybackup::SYB_DB_NAME.D.0.1234.02-01-2021.10:50:59 05::000' with error number 2 (No such file or directory). Refer to your operating system documentation for further details.
Backup Server: 6.32.2.3: sybackup::SYB_DB_NAME.D.0.1234.02-01-2021.10:50:59 05::000: volume not valid or not requested (server: session id: 6.)
Backup Server: 1.14.2.4: Unrecoverable I/O or volume error.  This DUMP or LOAD session must exit.
